I have been in healthcare for over 22 years. I first became a Clinical Research Coordinator because of my passion to help people. This led me to form a pharmaceutical research company and was part of the research and development of new pharmaceuticals for over 18 years. Although I was a part of the traditional medical community, I always turned to holistic medicine and natural methods for my own health as well as my family’s health. This became such a passion of mine that I decided to pursue holistic healthcare. I became a Certified Natural Health Practitioner (CNHP) as well as a Certified NAET Advanced Practitioner and founded Wild Flowers Wellness to continue this journey.
A few years into my first business in my mid-twenties my health started to decline. I was a single mom without much support and trying to grow a new business. I started to get sick often, I had sinus infections all the time, my stomach always hurt and was bloated, I was exhausted for no reason and had terrible brain fog. The doctors that worked for me wanted to put me on antidepressants even though I knew I wasn't depressed. It was then that I decided to take my health into my own hands. I spend countless hours researching holistic approaches and discovered that I had many food allergies and toxins in my body that was at the root of my health problems. I put myself on a strict diet and cut out gluten completely for many years. During this time I learned about gut health and started the process to heal my gut. It didn't take long before I could feel and see the difference. This convinced me that the traditional medical world has a lot to learn about real health and wellness.
My journey continued in my thirties when my husband became sick. The doctors performed every test imaginable but after 10 days in the hospital they did not have any answers for us. The only solid thing we had was that his ammonia was high. This happened a few times over a few years and still no answers. It wasn't until a we met a naturopathic doctor that we found an answer, he had lyme and many coinfections.
I knew that God had ordained that meeting and within a few months I knew that this was the path he had chosen for me. So, I dove in head first and watched him open doors that I never could.
Being able to help my family, my friends and my community is truly my passion and my calling. I am so thankful that God has given me this incredible opportunity to truly help people heal body, soul and mind.
I am on an endless journey to learn and discover everything I can about wellness. I am currently continuing my education to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Traditional Naturopath. I also attend many continuing education seminars throughout the year to stay up to date and learn from my mentors.
